The Nike SB Dunk Low “Chameleon,” designed by Alexis Sablone, draws inspiration from the dynamic and adaptive qualities of chameleons, reflecting the diverse design elements she integrated into her previous projects, including her design language for the country agnostic federation kit.
Nike SB connected with Converse athlete & 3-time X-Games Gold Medalist: Alexis Sablone to help assemble the uniforms for Team USA. On top of this, she worked with the brand to create her own pair of SB Dunk Lows. Drawing inspiration from chameleons, the pair features scale-covered, color-shifting overlays while her own branding appears at the heel and sockliner.
This sneaker features a premium leather upper with a reptilian-inspired pattern, debossed detailing, and two-tone wear-away overlays that reveal a vibrant fuchsia underlayer unique to each wearer. The white tumbled leather underlays and suede Swooshes enhance the shoe’s striking design, while a custom tongue crest and sockliner artwork, crafted by Alexis herself, add personal touches to the silhouette.
The shoe’s hidden “AS” branding on the back heel, orewood brown midsole, and vintage green tinted outsole contribute to its distinctive aesthetic. The package is completed with three lace options, allowing further personalization.
Sablone’s influence is evident not only in the shoe’s bold visuals but also in the thoughtfulness behind every element, making the “Chameleon” Dunk Low a milestone in Nike SB’s collaborations.
The Nike SB Dunk Low Pro 'Chameleons' by Alexis Sablone will be available FCFS in-store on Saturday, August 31st starting at 11AM and online Tuesday, September 3rd at 3PM EDT.
